Pirate Invasion 5K/10K – 2/16/20

Pirate Invasion 5K/10K Run/walk. February 16th, 2020. Spanish River Park, 7:15am.

Certified 10K/5K race, Free kids fun run (8:30am), healthy Fit Foodz breakfast for all participants, t-shirt to pre-registered. Fun for the whole family including bounce house and slides and free kids runs! Finisher medals in 5K & 10K (all finishers). Brought to you by the Rotary Club of Boca Raton, Florence Fuller Child Development Center and Runner’s Edge.

Awards: Top three male/female overall; top master; top three in five-year age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Accuchip timing!

AVDA Race for Hope 5K, January 9th 2021 -in person

AVDA’s 21st Annual Race for Hope is organized by Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse, Inc. (AVDA). All proceeds will support AVDA’s programs and services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Join in person (limited capacity) or as a VIRTUAL participant this year (includes race shirt and medal to be picked up at Runner’s Edge in Boca Raton from January 2-8 or mailed directly to you). Whatever way you choose to get involved this year, please remember to take a photo of your participation and share to your social media using the hashtag #RaceforHope2021

A mask is required to be worn at all times for IN-PERSON participants while at the event except while on the race course (participants may remove their mask once they cross the start line but masks must be worn again after crossing the finish line). Please practice physical distancing (6 feet apart) while at the park.

Gumbo Limbo 10K & 1 Mile 4/5/20

Date: April 5, 2020

Gumbo Limbo 10k/1 mile. April 5th, 2020. 10K run is a certified course and is chip timed. Awards: Top 3 male/female overall, Top 3 masters, 3 deep awards in 5 year age groups, 14 & under to 80+. Finisher medals to all 10K participants!

1-Mile is a non-competitive fun event with no chip timing or awards. Strollers are welcome. You can also signup at Runner’s Edge or Running Wild in person.

Time limit is 1 hour and 45 minutes.Race proceeds will be directed toward Friends of Gumbo Limbo sea turtle rehabilitation and conservation. Thank you for helping the sea turtles!

Fees $30.00 for 10K Adults before 4/1, $35 4/1-4/5, $15.00 for 1-mile, and 10K ages 19 & under – $20.

Kiwanis Scholarship Run 5K 1/26/20

9th Annual 5K Kiwanis Scholarship Run. Sunday, January 26th. Spanish River Athletic Fields/De Hoernele Park. Register now to be eligible to win!! This year we are changing things up a bit and going full color and totally fun! Join us for our 7th Annual 5K Scholarship Run/ Walk on January 20th, 2019. Funds raised from this event will be used to offer scholarships to homeless and foster care students, administered by the George Snow Scholarship Foundation. Accuchip timing. Gift of Life’s Steps for Life 5K Run/Walk- 1/19/20

January 19th, 7:30am, South County Regional Park (Sunset Cove),Boca Raton

Join us in the fight to cure blood cancers through stem cell and bone marrow transplants! Each of us has the power within us to save someone’s life! Gift of Life’s Steps for Life raises awareness in the community about the need to increase the worldwide bone marrow registry with ethnically diverse donors. Every year, 10,000 patients are diagnosed with illnesses that require a bone marrow or stem cell transplants and there is only a 30% chance that a sibling will be a match. All proceeds raised from the Walk are used to add new donors to the registry. To date, funds raised from the Steps for Life have added thousands of new donors to the registry resulting in lives being saved! ACCUCHIP TIMING, AGE GROUP AWARDS!
